The Pakistan Cricket Board was prompted by Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi’s social media activity to review contracts.

A source in the PCB said the choice by the two senior players to proceed the virtual entertainment meetings clearly organized by their representative had not gone down well with the cricket board

The Pakistan Cricket Board isn’t content with previous captain Babar Azam and the ongoing public T20 captain Shaheen Shah Afridi partaking on a space with fans directed via virtual entertainment stage ‘X’. “The provisos covering the virtual entertainment exercises of contracted players are currently being surveyed again by the board since it is concerned such open back and forth discussions could bring about pointless contentions,” he said.

The PCB and players have been in constant disagreement over the utilization of online entertainment and the NOCs issues for unfamiliar T20 associations since the year before.

The way that the PCB has a fourth Executive since December 2022 has not improved the situation and the source said this has prompted absence of lucidity between the players, their representatives and the board.

“Each PCB administrator has attempted to run the board in his own particular manner and at times, even disregarded the composed provisions of the focal agreements and given extraordinary consents to players in the beyond a year,” the source added.

The source said the new executive Mohsin Naqvi had requested insights concerning the focal agreements with the players and furthermore requested records of all meetings and web-based entertainment content of players throughout the previous few months.

“Naqvi obviously needs a reexamined media strategy for players and for this the PCB could modify a few provisions of the focal agreements,” the source said.
