India’s extraordinary Sunil Gavaskar has compared the batting abilities of Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz to those of MS Dhoni. Gavaskar added that he enjoys the batting of the Afghan star as it is “marginally” like Dhoni’s. Gurbaz, who opens the batting for Afghanistan, has played 37 ODIs and 49 T20Is for the side, scoring more than 1200 runs in each configuration. In T20s, Gurbaz has a strike pace of 148.60. Discussing MS Dhoni, he called time on his worldwide cricket vocation in 2020. He is among a couple of hitters to score more than 10,000 ODI runs.

“I have enjoyed Gurbaz’s batting a ton in view of anything I have seen. He is very forceful, and his batting resembles a slight duplicate of MS Dhoni, and for that reason I presumably like it,” Gavaskar told Star Sports, as cited by Sportskeeda.
