During the seventh over of the RCB innings, the camera showed a fan who was holding a sign that read, “Will you wed me, Shreyanka Patil?” The RCB players had no control over their response at the occurrence, as they should have been visible grinning. RCB proceeded to dominate the game by eight wickets.
In the meantime, Smriti Mandhana and Sabbhineni Meghana’s raid helped Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) seal an agreeable eight-wicket victory over the Gujarat Giants.
Mandhana and Sophie Devine came on the wrinkle for the Bengaluru-based establishment while pursuing a 108-run target. The Mandhana-Devine pair made a 32-run organization until Ashleigh Gardner excused the Kiwi batting all-rounder in the fourth over of the game. Devine scored just six runs from six and crushed one four with a strike pace of 100.00.
Devine’s excusal didn’t prevent Mandhana from playing a blazing thump. She played a 43-run thump from 27 balls with a strike pace of 159.26 until Tanuja Kanwar excused her in the 10th over. The Indian player crushed eight fours and one six.
After the excusal of two openers, Sabbhineni Meghana and Ellyse Perry assumed responsibility for the game and didn’t frustrate the hosts. Meghana and Perry played an unbeaten thump till the end and effectively pursued the 108-run thump.
Meghana played a 36-run thump from 28 balls with a strike pace of 128.57. She hammered five fours and one six in the subsequent inning. In the meantime, Perry hit four fours, controlled RCB to 110/2, and fixed a second back-to-back win in the T20 competition.
