Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal discredited his skeptics, delivering an instrumental exhibition as the group crushed the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Dayal, who joined RCB in the wake of being delivered by the Gujarat Titans, was a player who stood out as truly newsworthy last season following the battering he got from the Kolkata Knight Riders Rinku Singh. In a renowned episode, Rinku hit Yash for five sequential sixes in the last over of the game to dominate the challenge for the Knight Riders. Presently, with RCB, Dayal opened up about that game, which actually stays new in his mind.

“After the GT vs. KKR game, I was asked not to see the web-based entertainment, but rather I actually continued, and I had a harmed outlook on individuals’ thought processes of me, which harms more when they don’t understand what foundation I come from and play cricket. I fell debilitated in 2–3 days. I got back to cricket after recuperating and attempted to zero in on the match.
“Looking back, I realize I was not the main individual who has confronted this present circumstance, so I chipped away at the cycle as opposed to the external clamor,” he said in the video shared by IPL.
At the IPL 2024 auction, Dayal was signed by RCB for a sum of INR 5 crore. The left-arm pacer has shown promise as a new addition to the team in his two games thus far, scoring 1/28 (3 overs) and 1/23 (4 overs) against CSK and PBKS, respectively.
The RCB executives are most excited about Dayal’s potential, even if he is still not a finished product. The pacer is eager to improve on his strong 2024 season debut with his new team.
