Four Indian boxers advanced to the semi-finals of the Asian U-22 and Youth Championships.

Indian fighters Aryan, Yashwardhan Singh, Priyanshu, and Sahil walked into the elimination rounds with sure wins at the Asian U-22 and Youth Confining Titles 2024 Astana on Wednesday.

Late on Tuesday, Jugnoo (86kg), Tammana (50 kg), and Preeti (54kg) guaranteed triumphs to enter the U-22 semi-finals.

On Thursday, eight U-22 pugilists will take the ring for their quarter-final sessions. Jadumani Singh (51kg), Ashish (54kg), Nikhil (57kg), Ajay Kumar (63.5kg), Ankush (71 kg), and Dhruv Singh (80 kg) are in the men’s classification, while Guddi (48kg) and Poonam (57 kg) are in the ladies’ category.

The finals for the young and U-22 classes will be played on May 6 and 7 individually.
